Interviews. People who were going to see hawkins (like me) had to wait a long time because she had to talk with year 12's about stuff. Some people (like sam) waited around 40 minutes, but on the up side he got mr smith to interview him after the long wait. After waiting a while I also got mr. smith to interview me and he was nice about it and it took around 2 minutes. I've got the subjects right but one thing I need to work out is careers.

He said something like "if I could give you a key to 10 years in the future, where you could be working in any career you like, with all the qualifications, where would you be?"

And after a few um's I said in this order: games designer and he said that was alright because they make a lot of money but I'm surprised he didn't mention how competetive and low ATAR you need for that.

then I said biochemical engineer because of engineering day

but I didn't know exactly what for the last one and I didn't just want to keep him waiting for a few minutes while I figured it out so I just said accountant off the top of my head because that's what my mother does.

and then he said something like "why haven't you said formula one driver?"

He was probably my favourite teacher of years 7/8 but I didn't get him for year 9 in engineering or woodwork

but why didn't I say formula one driver? probably because I'm not one of those "omg cars" people. But I could have said a rock star, or a musician, but I didn't. I didn't even think about music the whole time. Maybe it's because I was thinking about my subjects and I didn't pick music. Maybe it's because I only see music as a hobby and not an actual skill or anything. Maybe I need to figure out a career.
yeah.

I'm not sure why I bring umbrellas anymore because I never end up using them; I always save them for the end of the day but by then it usually stops raining.

I also noticed that everyone's changed. like, woahhh. it's all different now, but how can I say this when I don't remember who we were in the first place?

oh and yay, there's pretty much no work or anything for the next two weeks

If you've got space you can join Mark and Nabhan in Music 1. Then again, that may be a bad idea.

Lies. We've got a reunion to organise and history........

Also, I do know someone who you wouldn't expect to like cars, but does. Quite creepy actually.

(Thanks, Harvard)
