was going to talk about disappointing things but i think i'm going to go help someone learn an important non-test related lesson. might edit things later tonight
okay, i'm here.
disappointments.
i heard that when the navy seals moved in, it was on the 2nd/3rd floor, where his family lived, and one of his sons was killed, and when they moved into the bedroom he was unarmed. his wife supposedly made an aggressive move, and they shot her in the leg, disabling her, and then double tapped to kill him, one shot on the chest, one to the head. he was unarmed.
the mission was to either kill or capture him. and i'm making this sound wrong, the reason they didn't not kill him was because he didnt do the hands up, surrendering, etc. and i have no idea what actually happened except the media's narration of it.
but it just makes me wonder what was going on in his head. what does it feel like to be "the most hated" person in the world. what is it like to be responsible for the deaths of so many, and to know that they have finally caught up to you, and that you are about to die. what is it like to know that people will be celebrating your death, and all of that.
i'm sure he wasn't stupid. there must have been times when he just pondered about his life. because it was no ordinary life. maybe at one point he felt guilt. maybe he wished he could take it all back, and just live a normal life, like the thousands of other people he saw around him. maybe he realised it was too late for that. no way back. bridge burning.
or maybe he really was just the bad guy everyone knew him to be.
it doesn't matter. we'll never know.
People are defined by their actions, not who they are, or their thoughts, emotions, or values.
because otherwise people are all the same.
it's disappointing the way people are on the internet, like people commenting on videos, and the hate that brews over a game.
it's disappointing when you occasionally see people who you know who are nice saying terrible things without a second thought.
it's disappointing seeing the imperfections in everyone you know, especially closer friends.
it's disappointing seeing envy and jokes and statements at another person's expense.
it's disappointing when people lie.
but don't worry, none of these are you.
it's disappointing, because these apply to yourself (esp the lies one), and because after a while of seeing everything bad about others, you realise everything bad about you.

thanks for the lesson
good point.
*good points.
Bookmarked so I can revisit it later.
Today at Coles I had this idea for a story.
What if you were that checkout guy, and for "no reason" someone just glare at you with hate while you're trying to do their shopping?
As a side note,
The Human Condition is characterised by what we achieve, not what we need.
Yea, bookmarked. I have an idea. It might not be a good one, but it'll grow.
